General Foster Care assessments are for anyone who is interested in becoming a foster carer. The assessor uses a step by step framework to ensure carer applicants are suitable to care for children with significant and complex trauma. 

Kinship assessments assess the viability of any family/kin that is willing to be considered as a foster carer for a young person who has entered the out of home care system. 

These assessments are used to assess parents for the return home of their children. The assessment seeks to understand parental capacity to change and offers a comprehensive recommendation for the court.

Support services can be provided to families who are struggling with the return home of their children through restoration services. These services are tailored to each family with the aim of preventing children returning to the foster care system.

We are a registered NDIS Behaviour Support Company located in Wagga Wagga. When Individuals experience challenging behaviours, our company takes an evidence-based approach to help understand why these behaviours exist. We then work with all key stakeholders and carers to provide proactive strategies to support the participant to achieve positive and sustainable outcomes. 

Little Bear Consulting has over 10 years' experience in the child protection and out of home care industry. Coaching and mentoring services are offered to assist new case workers and support staff to better understand their role and how to work within the legislative guidelines. Our company can also offer external supervision services to offer an extra layer of support to staff. 

Little Bear Consulting offers group supervision and reflective practice through the use of the Minnesota Model.
